the right word is siblings that includes brother and sister, in this case 1 brother+1 sister= siblings brothers is the plural of brother (not including sister)
Cuando hermanos se refiere a "hermanos y hermanas" se usa brothers & sisters: somos tres hermanos = I have three brothers & sisters. En estilo formal puede usarse siblings: resultΓ³ que eran hermanos = it turned out they were siblings.
