My second go, trying to use new things, I will probably not drop so much at the same time later on, as that sort of defeats the purpose of a series. But this is more of an experiment than anything else. As per usual, don't hold back on whatever criticism you have. No better way for me to improve here than with practice and judgement.

Also, there's a hint as to what I'll be doing next, not too hard to guess considering what my first post was but I thought I might add a bit of suspense by leaving it at that.
