Happy Independence Day, Lithuania~!
Finally! I've been planning this for awhile and been workin' on it on and off for a week or 2. I didn't wanna post it a day sooner.
Upon learning what the colors of the flag meant I couldn't this image out of my head. Yellow for the rye fields, green for the forests, and red for the blood spilt for the country (though I've read it could also stand for love) - I had to include all of that in the picture.
A lot of effort was put forth here, I really wanted to do this character/country justice. Liet here has quickly become a favorite character of mine since becoming (way) obsessed with Hetalia. He is by far one of the most interesting side characters for me and I love how the fandom interprets him. He has obviously been through so much and despite circumstances manages to remain a very strong and kind character. I have a lot of respect for Liet and the country he represents. I would very much like to continue learning about the history and culture of Lithuania, because (to me), it is remarkable.

Thank you <3 The sky was a total fucking fluke. I'm not sure I remember how I even did it. My background went through so many different changes that I lost track. I literally made 2 backgrounds, one had the current sky and the trees and the other had the current grass. I really hated both so I combined them and got this XD

I really did spend a lot of time on and off just staring at this, thinking of ways I could make it better or add to it. I usually take shortcuts or finish something up without giving it a second glance. I'm glad I put the extra effort into this and I'm REALLY glad it shows.
I love what the fandom has done for me. Even if it has made me a bit of a rabid fangirl again.
