Welp, here's the character lineup for my upcoming short comic, "Cold and Hard." (I'm actually trying to condense the story as of yet... over forty pages isn't really that short XD) The image is quite large so feel free to zoom in!

Peter Vaskov: Peter is the main protagonist of the story. He’s a member of one of the many Imperial Cossack regiments. Peter is well aware of the corruption within the Russian bureaucracy but doesn’t see anything good coming from a bloody civil war as he doesn’t agree with the revolutionary government. He’s sorta caught in the middle but will protect those dear to him. Peter is also a crack shot with his pistol; he treats it like an extension of himself along with his sword.

Ivan: Ivan is Peter’s best ‘soldier buddy’. The two have known each other for a very long time (having worked on the farm together prior to the first world war.) Ivan is something more of a poet and artist… not quite like his other Cossack brothers. But don’t get him wrong… he won’t shy away from a fight.

Katya Gurvich: Katya is a white Russian aviator who has realized the dire situation of the Civil War for her side. She wishes to get the weapons and gold she’s gathered during the conflict outside of Russia in order to carry on the war elsewhere.

Erwin: Erwin is an American aviator who fought during the First World War. He is now serving as a volunteer member of the Kościuszko Squadron. (a group of American aviators who traveled from Paris to help protect Poland during the early stages of the Second Republic.)

Yuri: Yuri is a very interesting character… he’s Peter and Ivan’s commanding officer and also, despite being an atheist, is a staunch anti-communist. He has no remorse for his actions as he “has no one to answer to.” and is fueled by his hatred for the ‘reds’. No one knows what makes things so personal for him, it’s best not to ask.

Officer Dmitry: He’s just an infantry officer who’s going to be causing trouble… I needed to design him anyway. LOL

The Commissar: It’s the Commissar job to make sure that the spirit of the Revolution is not lost under his jurisdiction. Rousing speeches and patriotic songs seem to work best.

Bolshevik Revolutionaries: As the Civil War tips in the favor of the communist, their ranks are constantly filled with better equipment, weapons and new recruits. Victory is in sight for these rebels.

Merian Cooper: Cooper is the founder of the Kościuszko Squadron and is a veteran airman. He was the one who personally went to Paris and hand picked the Volunteer’s for the Squadron. He knows that a larger scale conflict between Russia and Poland is nearing… air superiority will be key player in the upcoming war. (at the moment, he’s the only historical figure to make an appearance in my story, I tried to make it look like him. LOL also another fun fact about this chap is that he directed the first King Kong film and was a big player in the advancement technicolor! XD)
