Description
You know warfare is at an all time low when once glorious field commandants are transformed into "trench officers."
I decided to take some time off 3d art today... I've got some line-art lying around so it looks like coloring might be in order.
(It gets hard to share my 3d work because a lot of it is "experimentation" not all that impressive ya know... at least it's not something an artist wants to show off. LOL)
Anyways, those pickelhaube's were quite the challenge to draw.

I got a question about background; do you drew the outlines first or you paint and then you put the outlines?

Well, it depends on the type of background I suppose. If it's going to be very blurry, than there's no reason to add detail.

It was actually hard! lol The way the eagle wraps around the helmet made it difficult. Thank goodness the Prussian eagle is fairly straight forward.
Well, there are several options: A, these two blokes aren't here to stay, and only visit the trenches for inspection. B, the uniforms are very "early war" so maybe fat boy hasn't had time to shed that girth. LOL
