Emma had a massive crush on her chemistry classmate Olivia. Emma was too shy to ever talk to her, but her chance came when they were randomly assigned to be partners for a project. Emma had fantasized about this moment ever since she laid eyes on Olivia and her chance had finally come. "Hey Olivia, wanna come over to my place tonight to work on the project?" she asked her. Olivia just shrugged. "Yea sure, why not" she said. Emma tried her hardest to contain her excitement as she wrote down her address and handed it to Olivia. That evening Olivia arrived at Emma's place. Emma had spent every second since she got home making her house spotless. "Oh you're here! Welcome!" beamed Emma. "Hey Emma, nice place. Should we get started? I have an idea for the project" Olivia replied. "What's your idea?" Emma asked. "Well, my ex boyfriend was, like, crazy smart. He invented this shrink serum about a week before he mysteriously disappeared, but I found the recipe for it while searching his house" Olivia explained. Emma's heart sank a bit when she heard Olivia mentioned she had a boyfriend, but was intrigued at the idea of a shrink serum. Olivia reached into her bag and pulled out the recipe. Emma glanced over it. "Oh cool, I have all this stuff here" she said, walking to her kitchen to grab the materials. "You wouldn't mind making it while I grab a real quick nap, would you? I've had a long day and I'm exhausted" Olivia said, kicking off her shoes and leaning back on Emma's couch. "Yea, sure, no problem" Emma replied while she got to work on making the shrink serum. Emma could help but sneak quick glances at Olivia's feet while she worked. She had a plan. Once she was finished making the serum, she walked back to her living room where Olivia was fast asleep. The recipe had a guideline on how to use the serum. "Drink the whole thing to shrink to 0.01 millimeters" it read. Emma quickly downed the serum and slowly felt herself begin to shrink. Once she was about half her current height she grabbed onto Olivia's foot which was hanging in the air. The shrinking accelerated and within a few seconds she had finished shrinking. She was now inbetween Olivia's mountain sized toes. Emma could hardly breathe due to her immense shock and excitement that the serum actually worked. Her excitement quickly changed to confusion as she began to smell burning. In the distance she could see smoke. She decided to walk towards it and to her surprise she found a campsite. A fire was roaring, a tent was set up and there was a chair placed nearby. A man, roughly Emma's age, came by. "Oh hi, you must be Emma. I heard Olivia say your name" said the man. "Huh? What? Who are you?" stammered Emma. "Ha, don't worry I get the confusion. I'm Tom, Olivia's 'ex' as she says. I shrunk myself down about a year ago now and have lived here ever since. I see you found the recipe for my serum! If you want to join me here that's OK, I'll admit as much as I love it here it does get a bit lonely sometimes" Tom explained. Emma stared blankly for a moment before finally responding. "Sorry, my brain just took a sec to process everything and realize what I just did. Sure, I'd love to stay here with you" she said. Tom smiled. "Wonderful! Over there is a pump I invented that converts sweat into drinking water. I started that fire using hair collected from those tiny, well, tiny to her, pieces of hair on her toes and grilled bacteria is actually better tasting than it sounds" he said. Emma and Tom quickly became very close friends and lived the rest of their lives on Olivia's foot, who had no idea where they disappeared to.
