I started putting dots to this on 8.23.07 and managed to finish it on Pearl Harbor Day, or 12.07.07, if you wish. Now my Puffin Series is finished and I'm focusing on the Tang Dynasty and a few commissions that I have yet to do ... Oh, I changed the title to reflect the fact that there is no rice with the fish, or wasabi for that matter.Related content

With my Puffin series I was trying to do more of a portrait, so that might have had some effect on that.

wow pointillism, thats something you don't see on D.A very often. i like it. its a change from all the spirit horses and anime u always see on this site haha. i cant imagine how long this took you. kudos. id quit. i like stuff done fast lol. i admire your realistic style. it shows true art. that you are a jack of all trades

Thank you for your kind words. It is one of my smaller pieces, 5x7, that's why it only took five month to do. It would have taken less time, but I was working on the other two puffins in the series, as well. I do like watercolor too, and usually do one or two after completing a pointillism as a way to loosen up and have fun.

If you are not comfortable with watercolors try something that you are better at ... oils, acrylics, ....
