A school project last year where we had to redesign a popular character for our own story. I did Deadpool and had a vote on whether I should make him a "Batman Beyond"-esque hero, a feudal samurai version, a WWII version...etc.These were the sketches of the Future and Samurai versions. In the end the future one got the most votes.

I totally love this samurai version of Deadpool. I marvel were to do a "marvel fairy tale" comic featuring you samurai deadpool, I would definitely read it. Great redesign, man.

Unless I really did anything with them. I never even designed the WWII costume. All I did was the samurai and future version.

Yeah, but like the WWII one, I never really designed anything. There was one where he was the survivor of a "What if....?" universe where the Punisher killed almost all the other metahumans, another were he was a more traditional hero like Batman (after all, he already has a utility belt), and a 1602 version where he was a pirate fighting the royal agents of the King of England, who were maritime versions of the Sinister 6.

Coolness. I've had a few ideas about an alternate Deadpool myself. There's an almagalm of Superman and Deadpool in which he tries to get his cancer cured with kryptonite radiation. At first it seems to make his cancer worse, but then he steps out into the sun and his skin starts to absorb the sunlight and the power he gets as a result is more than enough to fight his cancer. However, absorbing that much solar energy at once burned his skin horribly and the power (not to mention the extreme pain) damaged his sanity.
"Look, up there in the sky! Is that a bird?"
"Is it a plane?"
"No- it's a person, some kind of freak!"
"It's SUPERFREAK!"

Yeah, I wanted to try it, but Future got more votes and it was an easier story to work with. It would be cool to see the Japanese version as a "What If...?"
No matter which story got chosen though, I planned to have some variation of the Sinister Six as the villains.
