"What about--your belt"

Giroro grunted a bit as he adjusted the yellow Keronian on his back, "My belt can wait..."

"kuku~ don't be stupid Corporal, you're useless without it..." He coughed with the effort it took to speak, voice raspy and weak.

"Shut up Sergeant Major, I'm trying to save you,and you shouldn't talk anyway. You're too weak-" he replied, agitated, but more in concern than he was letting on.

However, Kululu was the brainiac for a reason, "Don't go soft on me Corporal, worrying about me doesn't suit you." He still managed his signature giggle, despite how weak it sounded as it trailed off.

"I'm not going soft!" Giroro insisted, how did the other manage to get under his skin, even now, "We're soldiers, a platoon, we all need to survive."

"Kukuku~" he coughed tiredly, "you're calling me a soldier now? You usually tell me my brains are no match for your abilities to survive..." he coughed again. "seems you were right..."

"Don't you dare die on me Kululu!" He picked up his pace, without his belt he felt the fatigue setting in quickly, but there was no way he'd prove the other right, he could save him even without the belt. "You're going to be fine, do you hear me?"

The other didn't speak, but he did feel the others smile on his back before the Sergeant Majors form went limp as he slipped into unconsciousness.

Do they make it? YOU'LL NEVER KNOW! Actually, I was requested to draw these two on tumblr, in a situation sort of like this. It's really up to the receiver how they interpret it, but this mini-story/conversation kept going through my head as I wrote this.

I'm a sucker for tragic-romances. Tragic doesn't always mean it has to end sadly, but I like conflict and and sad happenings like this. I don't know why! This is why I shouldn't write fanfics, I'll just make everyone sad and they will hate me!

Anyway, I admit there are a lot of things I'm not happy with on this, but overall, I like it. Enjoy~
