Ok, so i started doodling and came up with this..... I suck at backgrounds so i need some help. ;DSooooooo, what do you guys suggest. -_- Gah, i really suck... so suggestions would help HEAPS!!!

Yup, I have to agree. A bg of like a battle in a star ship or something would be cool.
I, myself am still learning to color properly with photoshop. So I don't even know how to apply a bg to my art. So gl with it

There's only one thing I've noticed here so far and that's Ahsoka is missing a foot. Her left foot by Rex'arm, it's missing

Oooer, I love the shading and highlighting on this! Rex's plastoid armor looks so smooth. (I want to touch it.) I really like this one.
As for the background: if you want it to be something simple, try a streaked look to suggest motion; with at least two colors. You could also go for a semi-silhouetted, non-detailed battlefield; though it would make the picture a little busy and detract some from Rex and Ahsoka's picture dominance, IMO.

There HAS to be, it's like soooo obvious. XD In the episode 'mystery of a thousand moons' when they were dying from the blue shadow virus, Ahsoka fainted and Rex caught her and i was like screaming at the tv "KISS HER, YOU TOOL!!!" XD Not that i mean precious rexy boy is a tool.

Oh, I know. I never know what to draw for a BG and if I think of something, it's a bit too detailed for my ability.
And I don't feel like plopping a photo behind what's an obviously drawn character.
Best I could do was with the Neo Crusader version of Kiana, I just carefully colored the background a solid gray.
I admit, it was inspired by the Japanese Sailormoon art books I have that have all of Naoko's sketches in them. I'm only missing the 5th one(for Sailorstars and since that season's so popular, it's impossible to find) and I noticed she did something similar with colored pencils.
A cute rainbow of color wouldn't work for Kiana, but the grey worked out nicely.

True. I'm just not good at anything too terribly detailed. Simple things, such as buildings and walls, I'm not too bad at.
It's not so bad for me to just put some color to the background if it needs something. After drawing a picture, heh, I'm usually not up for backgrounds much.
