HOW did you do this? Is it even possible?
My answer would be no, so you have just done something impossible...

oooooh, I like the sound of that- me doing something impossible!

and now-reality check- it is possible!

Ingredients:

1 feather or a syringe
1 toothpick
1 glass of water
1 tube of glitter

Instructions:

Put waterdrops on feather using a toothpick, or even better a syringe.

Now carefully dip the toothpick in the glitter and put some on the waterdrop!

Ta-da! That's it...

oh, yeah, and take a photo of it!

that simple...

phew....

Hehe, reminds me of earlier today. I was making landscapes inside waterdrops with watercolours. More simple that it sounds.

sounds interesting! explain!

did you just drop a bit of watercolor in the waterdrops and let it swirl around? that would make an awesome photo! if you know what I mean

Well, i didn't swirl, because then it will just become one colour.
That can look cool too (you can make a rainbow!
), but i just put the tip of the brush ( a very little one!) through the drop.
Then, depending on speed and amount of paint, and where you put it, it will land on the bottom.
Argh, this is really hard to explain! I hope you understood that, because im not sure i would
... (sorry for crappy english)

ok, I'm gonna tell you how I do it, from start. If that's what you're wondering

first, you have to get a feather..I found this one at the lake, fell of a swan

then, I put waterdrop on the feather using a toothpick...sprinkle on some glitter or if you want to be really precise, put it on with a toothpick, too

I just set my camera on macro shot and shoot..

I don't have a super fancy camera or anything, just my Canon Powershot a460.

if you have more questions, just ask

how do you put a waterdrop using a toothpick? i hope that isn't a stupid question haha >.<

MateaLoncar In reply to littlehutch [2009-11-13 19:55:23 +0000 UTC]

you get a glass of water, dip your toothpick in it and just shake it a bit to let the waterdrop drop from toothpick

I hope that makes sense..

and you can decide how big of a waterdrop you want

some people use syringes, they're better than toothpicks but I haven't tried that... I want to, though
