Focus could have been better, and darker background would have nice (concrete, so no chance there) and .... Not the best shot, but I like it enough to share it.

B/W and square (again), trying to not overdo the contrast as I have been prone to do in some earlier photos and to make the eyes stand out more.

I might not get the chance to get any more (good) wild feline photos from the local Zoo, there have been plans for a needed expansion which is great as the space for the wild felines is pathetic tiny. However it will include glass instead of the partial water mote (some of the tiger enclosure is glass already) and a possible tower for photographers, so depending on how it is done, it will be bad for good images and knowing what they have now I'm not that optimistic.

Last time I was there it looked like they had already gotten rid of some of the lions, all I saw was the male (Aslan), one lioness and possible one cub. The rest have been trade to other Zoos (at least I hope so, didn't see a keeper to ask about it).

The lioness didn't move around much and had no interest in the spectators at all that I saw, so I got the (imaginary? xD) feeling she was missing the young (hence the title for the image).
