Being the son of a renown bounty hunter family, Yomi is quite overconfident of his own abilities. He doesn’t really mean to offend anyone - that’s actually far from it, but he does tend to talk a lot about his successful prank attempts and such.

As he had trained to become a bounty hunter all his life, Yomi had acquired the skill of stealth. It usually comes in handy when he wants to mess with his “customers from hell” or just others in general.
✦ Talkative
Despite his rather egotistical/quick-to-anger demeanor, Yomi actually loves to talk with others. He can often be seen striking up a conversation with his coworkers and even his customers. Most of the regulars have at least had a short conversation with the inugami, whether it be about the weather, or talking about the prices of the merchandise.
✦ Charming
Although he can be a bit awkward at times, Yomi has a certain charm when it comes to attracting customers. Some say it’s probably because of his rather “high-spirited” nature, but the inugami seems to say something else along the lines of “It’s because I’m so handsome and awesome~~”
✦ Competitive
Perhaps this was an acquired trait due to his rather rough childhood but Yomi hates to lose. He tends to challenge people in random “games” such as rock-paper-scissors and such as “rematches.” He get’s pretty butt-hurt when he loses though.
✦ Impatient
Whenever things don’t go his way, Yomi tends to get a bit hot-headed. It doesn’t take him that long to cool down though. Overall, he just wants things to go quickly without a hitch, but well, life isn’t perfect is it?

History:
    A Hunter. Ever since he was young, that was the only choice he had. As the youngest son of a family of renown bounty hunters, his fate was already set for him - he was to follow the family tradition. Ever since he could walk, the inugami went through harsh training. Wake up, train, eat, sleep. A vast portion of his childhood consisted of nothing more but this monotone routine. He didn't really mind, however - as the inugami knew almost nothing out of the confines of his family's grasp. To him, this routine was all he knew.
    However, drastic changes occurred after one fateful day. It was rather cool summer night when the boy sent out of the house. Yomi's family had deemed him worthy to go out on a mission alone, and he had happily complied. The mission was rather simple: capture the client's target and take them to the specified area. He had been through multiple courses of training - if his calculations were correct, he was sure to succeed. What he didn't expect, however, was that the local festival was taking place.
    The inugami was astonished at the sight. Why did so many people gather at one place for something so... insignificant? It would have been much more productive to work rather than.. frolicking around and doing... weird activities. Just as the inugami was going to move on, however, he was dragged to a nearby vendor by a few youngsters.
"Hey, we really want to play this game, but we need one more person! Can you join us?"
    The inugami could only stare back in confusion. He had never played these "games" before, and he still had a target to chase. Before he could refuse, however, the group of kids dragged him along. It was awkward really, as the others had to repeat the rules to him multiple times, but as time passed, he soon got the hang of it. Unbeknownst to the boy, a small, genuine smile soon replaced his usual blank expression. It felt different. The feelings he felt while playing those "games" were much different from the ones he felt back home.
It was the very first time the inugami had “fun.”
    Once he returned home, however, things took a turn for the worse.
     “As a member of the Nagata clan, we are disgusted by your failure.”
    Just as the inugami had expected, his parents were furious. The mission itself was simple, but the setbacks of failing it were great. They had lost a regular client, thus losing a great deal of income. After the incident, the inugami’s training menu doubled in amount, and for awhile, he was to not leave anywhere without a supervisor - but things were already different. The boy had already got a taste of freedom, and he wanted more.
    He had become much more rebellious, ditching and talking back to his parents were now a daily occurrence. He had begun to question his family’s ways. Was money and bounty hunting really the most important thing? Were these two… physical objects worth more than others things? He was confused. All his life, he was taught one thing, but now his heart was telling him the completely opposite.
Such thoughts clouded his mind, and eventually led to a disaster. It was rather cold night - much too similar to the fateful one many moons ago. His parents had decided to give him one more chance to redeem himself - a mission. It was eerily similar to the one he had received (and completely failed on). However, he decided to head on out - after all, his parents seemed rather…. desperate. Upon finding the target however, the inugami’s thoughts once again spiraled away. Was this really the right thing to do? As he stood still, he didn’t notice the target closing up on him, and before he could react, he felt burning pain on his right eye.
He had hurt his right eye. Yes, it wasn’t completely gone, but his sight was impaired to the point where he no longer could pursue the life of a bounty hunter. Yomi’s parents were mortified.
“Take this eyepatch and leave. You are no longer a Nagata. Do not disgrace us with your presence anymore - we have already done all we could, and yet you have still failed us.”
Those were the last words they said to Yomi before he left home.
Days passed as the inugami got around by doing odd jobs. He wasn’t sure about what to do anymore, as his family had always been his financial support. One day, however, the inugami stumbled across Aburaya. The festive atmosphere of the place astonished him. As he walked around the area, he soon made up his mind. He was going to work here. With some persuasion, he was give the name “Yomi” and began to work at Kusuriji's Medicine & Antiquities Shop as an apprentice.

Relationships:
Tsubaki - Is treated as a frenemy. They //or perhaps just Yomi// enjoy occasionally drinking together. The inugami also tends to hang out with him during their free time. Yomi doesn't like him much though due to the fact that all the female customers seem to flock over him.
