I mean, your painting got me wondering and thinking you got it wrong, so it sent me straight to googling clouded leopards to find pictures where it's showing well. That's how I found out they actually have slit-like pupils, although a bit different than in house cats, for example. Otherwise, angle can make the round pupil into an oval, but it can hardly make it seem so sharp-edged. It will always appear at least a bit oval, if you can see it at all that is.

No, both species have similar eyes. I know there are other cats who look a bit similar to them, but I'm not sure about their eyes. However, most of the time clouded leopards are seen in low light as their natural environment is rainforests. And in low light their pupils widen and sometimes you can't really distinguish that they aren't round, especially since their iris is also pretty dark. And you're welcome.
