I probably would appreciate the idea of a motherly life giver better...if she didn't bring them back as skeletons. Still, better than many of the alternatives to the idea.

Seriously? People try to find a find a symbolic explanation for her huge breasts?
I don't think one should get too excited or furious about busty women in video games, but there is one thing that shouldn't be forgotten: The people who accuse the game of sexism are right. The only reason for her design is to gain the attention of male viewers and therefore increase the sales. You, who probably wouldn't draw that at all about the game if the sorceress was a normally proportioned woman is one of the best examples for this.
I don't want to talk the game down, but in my eyes it is important to be honest and say when a character design is mainly supposed to gain sexual attraction instead of trying to find convoluted explanations why she has huge breasts(the necromancy thing can be a coincidence, especially since the summing of skeletons seems to be only a minor ability of the sorceress and there are a bunch of non-necromancy related characters with big breasts in their other games as well).

I have some sentiments about this. My response to the explanation was "That's cool and all. I get why she has large breasts, but why does she have huge breasts?"
The idea is cool, but all of that can be accomplished with a character that doesn't have breasts the size of her head. Fanservice is fine, but it seems silly that they try to justify her breast size when sex appeal is obviously the main reason for it!

Sorry if you felt offended by my comment, I thought I expressed myself politely. I'm not ranting or insulting the game or you. I won't be talking about this anymore - I really don't care how big her breasts are, I just wanted to state my opinion.

I'm not sure if I know what you mean. I just tried to see the theory in a critical light. I wasn't saying anything against the game or the character's design.
Thinking about it though your deviation was really the wrong place to make such a statement. You obviously only felt inspired by that theory to draw that comic, with no intention to position yourself on its side. Can I ask you to hide my comment please to make sure no unnecessary discussion unrelated to the picture will sprout from it?

All the characters are all huge extremes of their stereotype.
Elf: loli
Mage: Skinny smart dude
Dwarf: Uber buff short dude (he's dressed even more fanservicy than the sorceress for goodness sake!)
Sorceress: Smart busty chick
Warrior: Uber buff big dude.
The creators said they based all their designs off of exaggerations of all the sterotypes from things like D&D and Tolkein.
They could have just made the elf super busty too and made a "massive tracts of land" joke (because THAT hasn't been done a million times), but they didn't it didn't fit into the categorical extreme they were going for, they already had a busty character (or were planning on one) so they made a petite one (also it makes more sense since aiming a bow would be more difficult with large breasts getting in the way magic is more flexible like that).
And these aren't convoluted explanations. They're pretty simple.
At base, they just wanted to go against the grain of how necromancers are depicted, skeletons and dudes who look like they're already dead. The fact they can go with the nurturing route is fine and makes sense. Nobody denied it is for fanservice, but it has more to it than that. Nothing wrong with some symbolism.
And a deviation is a fine explanation for it, it tells a story that relates to the theme of her design. And Matt has done plenty of deviations based on theories(see his Adventure Time folder for more of that). So I'm not seeing how you think these deviations are a poor format for it.
And calling the game sexist is hardly fair since the fanservice o' meter is swinging both ways.
Buff dude exposing lots of skin and muscles, check.
Busty female, check.
Big dude in armor, check.
Petite female, check.
Skinny "nerdy" dude, check. (<- never met anyone who actually likes this, but I've met some who claim they do, but would go for the knight in shining armor in a heartbeat.)
It covered all it's bases and is rather "sexist" on both sides if you wish to call it that.
Were all the females dressed and proportioned like the sorceress, I'd partially agree.

"Can I ask you to hide my comment please to make sure no unnecessary discussion unrelated to the picture will sprout from it?"
What do you call your comment? you want a place to discuss the design, go to a forum. There was a theme to the series of images that lined up with the reason behind her design. Not too hard.

"she has huge breasts so what?"
That is my opinion exactly. I just find it a bit hilarious people try to find a symbolic meaning for the design instead of honestly saying "She looks like this to give men something to look at"^^

for men huge breast tend to be a symbol of motherly affection kindness and warmth,if we have to talk about sexy i prefer the amazon and elf, nevertheless the symbolism behind the character and this short story is accurate
