Finally got a look that I like in Dark Souls 2.
- Creightonβs Steel Mask
- Insolent Armor
- Faraam Gauntlets
- Havelβs Leggings
So basically running around as an undead crusader paladin.

meh, just wore a mix of the infantry set and imported set the whole game. i really wanted to wear the late-game sets like Faraam, Creighton, and some boss armor, but those two early-game sets really grew on me.
only really wore heavy stuff when i has to do stupid stuff, like finding the pickaxe.

I've gotΒ a long way to go yet. Gotta say though it is a fun game. Think I'm gonna go the gruffΒ forlorn knight route with my character. Not sure if it's just me, but you seem to go for the Crusader/Paladin route with your characters in these sort of games.
Likely more importantly, I like the picture. Glowy blue eyes alone are a good thing. Glowy blue eyes with a lightning mace...adventure.

I have a character that wears the Insolent helm, chest, and gloves with the Faraam leggings. He looks a bit like an old school crusader

I want to use the Insolent Armor, but nothing I have looks good enough with it yet. Glad somebody wears it good. =___=

The setup for me uses the Insolent Armor too. But I wear the Alva Helm, Havel Gauntlets, and Faraam Boots instead. The look just seems perfect for a sunbro to me.

Seriously though, I built one with the help of some friends. I can now rp as Krieg. I got ripped and made the outfit too. I may have to leave the working one at home, in case I do go insane.
Anyway, good art. I like the way you used the lighting to emphasize the ghostly blue glow of the eyes. Another great work Matt. Keep it up.

That shield is the great shield the armory guy in majula sells, and the havel set is in the gutter but you need a key to access it

Dat shield looks so awesome...so sad it's weight/stat ratio makes it pointless in comparison to the Tower Shield and Dragonrider Greatshield which are lighter.
Aside; I personally can't stand the look you've chosen when I was experimenting. I tried the Insolent armor and didn't like it at all, but to each their own.
My favorite look is
-Dragon Acolyte Mask
-Faraam Armor
-Mastodon Gauntlets
-Mastodon Leggings
This set up, combined with my favorite weapons allows me to be sturdy, damage resistant, and light enough for mid-roll with a heavy primary weapon.

It has higher overall defenses than those ones, but yeah main issue is it's a little heavier.

Yeah true, but I need to update the Armor as the Throne Watcher Armor, it matched the mask more and had a slightly lower weight with much greater stats.
Also I had a butt-ton of twinkling to throw at it so it's my finalized look considering I'm at the final boss now, it makes my high-strength, mid-dex and balanced int/fai main character look like a fast dex character even though I'm a mid-speed crusher with powerful hexes, so players are thrown off a bit when I swap out my Poison Spotted Whip (total troll weapon XD) to a Great Club and suddenly smash at them, or cast Dark Hail at close range.

Sometimes the classics work great: for example the lens flare on the eye and shadows only on the head.

Wow, same greatshield/lightning mace combo I went for, though I went for Drummond's gear and the Heide Iron Mask helm

Cool outfit combo! I'm rocking the Heide Knight Iron mask, Drangelic Mail, Falconer Gloves, and Vengarl's boots. It's somewhat an odd combo, but works well enough for me I suppose. I use the black knight greatsword and drakekeeper's shield as my main weapons. Used the greatsword constantly in DS one.
Anyways, great picture! Love DS artwork any day of the week!

Having seen the various stages of this while you were working on it (tumbr), I would have liked the helmet to be more illuminated.Β It was pretty cool and you had a decent amount of work put into it, then you hid it in darkness.
