Description Resin copy of the samurai edge pistol. I wanted to go for a more monochrome realistic look, well used bt no beat up.

I wanted to make the grips look like rubber and the pistol weathered metal.

Another amazing piece, I've been playing the games sense they where still called biohazard lol and am a big fan of the books as well. This came out just wonderfully, very well done.

She looks like a hard working beauty...masterclass
Like it so much, (cause I like the form of the berreta in real, too) And your style to finish is perfect....

I should count how many sci fi berettas...

Equilibrium(cleric pistol)
Blade (reinhards gun)
Underworld (Selene)
Dredd (Lawgiver)
Every Jon Woo film
Robocop (93R)
Star trek, assault phaser (is true)
Time cop, (is actually a taurus-Beretta copy)

There is probably more but I should be working right now..

I believe you achieved your goal. Reading your comment and seeing the words "resin copy" made me do a double-take because it honestly looks like the real thing, it even has that sort of sheen that I've only seen metal give off. Was this done from a mold or free-handed? (I'm not entirely resin-savvy so excuse if that's a silly question)

Thanks for the compliment.
Yeah it's a resin copy.
The standard Samurai edge is a nice looking gun but it's a little too flashy for me with the silver barrel and gold and blue emblem and wood grain grips.
I wanted a darker more subtle no nonsense look to this one.

I agree. There is most certainly a type of elegance in this version that the standard piece doesn't have.

Why thank you ever so much.

A lot of my props have that 'understated' look to them.

From a certain standpont I like my weapons to be elegent but not showy. Focusing on the usefulness and hinting at their strength without being overbearing. I guess I like to engineer humility into my props.
Definately a Taoist way of looking at it.

It's a good way to look at it, though. A lot of times weaponry, whether it's a gun or sword of any origin, is treated more as a showpiece than something practical. There's nothing wrong with flourish, but do you really want to feel like you're wielding a deadly piece of jewelry rather than a powerful weapon? There can be beauty in something that is not dazzled up, though to be fair it is a different definition and sense of beauty altogether.

Seems we're pretty much on the same page. If I'm not careful I could wax poetic for hours on the subject... LOL

Nothing wrong with that. It's always nice discussing a subject with someone who can see where you're coming from with your point of view.
