sooooooooo yeah today i watched the new RLS episode called, gaaras first date, Yeah it was kind of disappointing, if you know what I mean, i really thought he was ganna have some type of romantic awesome episode, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO orochimaru had to ruin it >:Coh well, so yeah i too a screenshot of the episode and i just added matsuri there ehehehe :3
i dont know what would be going on, or what story to write for it, sooooooooooooo ill leave it up to your imagination :3

Let's summarize:
- looks very much like a canon character
- has the name of another canon character because this happens to be the name of the creator as well
- considering the photograph the user has posted of herself the OC looks like her creator as well --> self insert
- even though the looks, as I said, like a sibling of Gaara, she is an Uchiha, what the..
- an Uchiha that doesn't have almost black eyes like all the canon Uchihas that have been shown in the series or manga
- the OC has two given names... no other character of the series has two names, thinking about it I don't think I know a single Japanese anime character with two names! Those who do have English, French or mixed names (like Asuka S. Langley Evangelion)
- the OC changes the canon by not being a victim of the Uchiha massacre.. I mean come on, do you really think Itachi and Obito are so stupid or untalented to let anyone escape? Itachi is a fucking genius and was, together with Obito, the most skilled clan member!
- she also changes the canon by being little Gaara's friend and defending him as the other kids call him a monster.. The fact that he was lonely and shunned by everyone is essential in Gaara's character development though, just as it is for Naruto and Sasuke (who was not shunned, but still an orphan, heavily traumatized and unable to bond with other people).. take that away from them and you change the whole canon as they would have developped completely different, most likely into normal (and hence boring) people..
- the OC doesn't seem to have a personality.. nor is it explained how she and Gaara fell in love with each other, how they met after she moved out of Konoha with her parents when she was a little girl etc.
- all pics are basically the same: OC with Gaara in a romantic situation
- the OC's Genin-Outfit looks kinky as the skirt is so short it barely covers her butt
- it looks like other male characters are interested in her as well
- on another pic she gets sexual with another male with Gaara being present.. as if he'd be with such a cheap skank

I agree with this as well, but I won't go as far as to say my OC is perfect either, but I know how to keep as much of Karuna contextually accurate as possible and not change canon(or I hope I didn't since I didn't crowbar Karuna into every major scene in the series like some people do...).

Yeah, because if you make a canon act OOC you obviously don't even really like him or just his looks. :/ I think the hair would be okay if one of her parents had red hair as well, but the EYES! All Uchihas have dark eyes.. and as you said, the massacre left almost everyone dead. I have two Uchiha OCs, but they were killed during the massacre.

It's good to know you are sticking to the plot with your OCs, and I agree with your point that making characters OOC just proves you only like them for their looks, which is sadly true for a lot of relationships in fiction.
