Question about the backgrounds you used in the pictures leading up to this one, did you make a new background for each, and how many backgrounds were made?
I've wanted to make a things like this, but I've no talent for this sort of art.

the backgrounds are paintings that i use for all of my mini-cut-outs. i make a lot of generic backrounds for many purposes.

when i do these fiddely things bigger, they take an insane amount of time. so some ideas are kept small.
