No render farm, lol, if only! I had to render everything at night (and at weekends) throughout the whole summer holidays. Everytime I made a new shot I would set it rendering, that was pretty much what my summer consisted of, haven't had one like it since though

I always wanted to do a proper anim, but they'd kill my computer. Course, now I have a six-computer cluster, so I might dust down C4D.

C4D? no wonder your computer dies, that is a SLOW renderer! I used Lightwave for 'The Lights' but I moved on to Maya which is a much better package (and has a better renderer (mental ray/renderman))
What I would kill for a mini renderfarm like yours!!! But you can still make animations without them....

I've tried out maya, but I didn't like it much. I've always wanted to scope out new renderers, but being on a Mac doesn't always kick ass. Most of the time.

that's one of the coolest pieces of art i've seen in a looong time. WOW. i'm just getting into animation, and this type of work is exactly what i need to be looking at.

I used Lightwave 8 for this one, but I have moved on to new software now (Maya 7) which I've used in my new animation

Think I may start dabbling in lightwave, I've only ever used Flash and a tad of 3D max.
