Hero Stats

Hero Name: Punchpup

Quirk: Willpower

> Willpower manifests in increasing the strength able to be produced from his muscles based on his own belief in himself.
> Causes abnormal strength and a decreased sense of pain.
> Can exert around 400-500 pounds of force.

Limitations:

> Upper Body Focused: His legs are not as affected by his quirk as his arms!
> Slowed Healing: Healing quirks do not work as well for him! Most noticeably those involving direct touch-based healing.
> Still Human: Overexertion risks breaking bones or tears in the muscles.
> Don't know your own strength: Needs to watch his own strength- was worse as a child, but still occasionally underestimates the amount of force he's putting into an action.

Primary Course Focus: Pro-Hero

Personals

Personality:
+ Adventurous || + Cooperative || + Leaderly || + Protective // = Ambitious || = Determined || = Freewheeling // - Compulsive || - Rowdy || - Careless || - Fiery

Eager from an early age, Nillon has always been one who's been up for an adventure, seeking the rush he'd gain from it when he discovered something new while exploring as well as helping him learn more about his quirk 'safely'. As well, he does his best to try to push himself to be one that others can look up to as a leader- so, while he is a highly cooperative person, he much prefers being allowed to lead the way into situations or helping to get things started. Furthermore, Nillon's protective- a bit too much so for his own good. He's willing to put himself in direct danger to protect those he cares about.

Sometimes, he's out of his own league with his ambitions, winding up getting careless and ending up injured trying to chase after his goals. But, even failing at a task doesn't deter him from trying again- even if a thing seems impossible, often he'll still take a shot at it. He feels he'd be letting himself- and his quirk- down if he didn't. All of these things combined can land Nillon in some sticky situations- where he acts without thinking or ends up in a spontaneous sparring match or fight with others. Almost always, he'll be one to speak his mind and throw himself into the fray.

History:
Born in a smaller Connecticut city, Nillon's life started off rather eventfully. The second son of pro-hero, "Wolven Truth", Heath Thompson and his wife, Alexandria Thompson, he started showing signs of his quirk at a very early age. Rather than having an activator quirk, his quirk was part of his muscles, as such, he always seemed strong for his age. It became more evident when he punched a hole through the drywall at two years old while throwing a fit, breaking his fist in the process.

With a trip to the hospital, Nillon's quirk was officially registered and his father thought it was a good time to show both of his sons some more stuff about his career as a pro-hero- especially with the older of the two heading into high school at the time. The rest of Nillon's earliest years were rather quiet- a few small mishaps with strength judgment, but not really much that Nillon noticed.

However, things changed quickly around the time Nillon turned six. His mother was pregnant again, but there was no way it was his dad's kid. Tensions started to get high in the household- Trevor, now 19, leaving the house shortly after Nillon turned seven, and shortly before the birth of Kaolin. From there, things just continued to unravel for a bit- with his parents getting divorced and his mom essentially abandoning Kaolin, disappearing without much of a word or warning.

Despite often having his strength mostly under control by this point, as Nillon went back to school after it started back up, he ended up getting worked up during a disagreement with another kid in his class, a boy with a bird-based quirk. In the end, the other boy ended up with a broken arm and Nillon found himself jarred over it, the combination of everything happening in his life at the time bringing him down in mood even at such a young age. And with his change in mood, he had a notable decrease in strength. So, the true nature of his quirk was discovered.

For a bit, the young boy still moped around, before eventually finding himself a new goal to motivate him as his father officially retired from being a pro-hero to spend full time with Nillon and Kaolin. Nillon decided he was going to be a pro-hero when he grew up, just like his dad. Even at an early age, he had his goal set. He wanted to become a pro-hero just like his father was before. That way he'd be able to protect his family the best he could. So- with his goal in mind as he grew older, Nillon began to focus more on training his quirk and training his body- though still doing his best to remain in good standings in school grade-wise. Around high school, he had settled upon a new avenue to his goal with the help of his father- shooting to go to Schuyler University. His father being an alumnus of the university, the name was one he'd heard on occasion growing up and it made sense to aim to attend it, especially with it's relatively close proximity to where he currently called home, being only a two-hour drive away.

The rest of his high school career was rather quiet- passing his classes with flying colors and only occasionally getting into trouble- it seemed likely that he was going to get in, at least according to his dad. But then the villain takeover of Boston- of Schuyler- happened at the end of his senior year. It was startling news to hear, first from his dad, then from media sources. He wanted to go help- but he couldn't. So, he had to sit back, two hours away, just waiting for the news whenever it came in. It was a relief when control over the city was reobtained- and, as the university recovered and started accepting new students again, Nillon found his own acceptance had been approved. He would be going to Schuyler University.

Extras:
> His gloves on his hero uniform have minor shock absorbant properties to them on the knuckles to aid in preventing him from constantly breaking them.
