Description Here is one of the new prints I'm bringing with me to Orlando this weekend. We'll see how well it goes. I thought I would go ahead and give Thor another try after a very long time. Sorry for the watermark. I'm rather pleased with it and I think I've learned several things to improve on the next piece while doing this one.

Let me know what you think.

-Cheers!

nicely done thor's muscle seems a bitt odd on his left arm. I think the mucle line was drawn a bit to much inwards.
also someone commented below about the hand of the giant being 'flat' I don't understand that and i disagree.
BTW who's the frozen warrior? just a random?

Yeah the idea was just that Thor decided to come down and aid another viking warrior who was doing battle with a frost giant. Someone suggested that it might be Balder but I never really thought to make it another hero from the legends.

"This foolish warrior has fallen so shall you, thundergod!"
"We shall see, giant!"

Sure buddy. Miss ya. Things are slow up here, as applying for jobs tends to be.

Lookin' good. Like how it turned out.

Small thing I noticed too. The falling snow could use some depth. Flurries in front of the frost giant probably should not be as dense or heavy as what's in the distance behind him.

Since you asked for some critic, I'll find some stuff to nitpick at. While the giant's right hand is beautiful, his other hand is a little flat around the knuckles. Thor's hand makes sense in this flatness as the handle he's holding is very straight. However, the ice the giant is holding curves in so make the pinky come in a little more too. Thor's arm muscles look a bit stringy, I suggest either taking out the smaller muscle line or replacing it with a line for the elbow bone. Lastly I believe you need darker shadows, particularly in Thor's face where there are three colors that are all light and the details muddle together because of it. Overall, the piece has nice detail lines and the lightning is colored well.

Thanks for the insite!

finally somebody actually points stuff out.
I agree with everything you said actually. I think the giant's left (our right) hand is probably my least
favorite part of the piece. The fingers are quite flat. Lesson learned.
