Do you know this tornado's rating on the Fujitsu scale? Because I do know that size doesn't matter. Anyway, nice picture. I love tornadoes.

Yeah, I've posted this everywhere I can. It's funny, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who caught it from this angle⦠most people caught the spectacular images from as close as 100 yards away from the West⦠I got there a little late, and got what I could before it dissipated.
Glad to meet you!

It was about 5 miles away and moving at about 5 mph, so truth be told, it wasn't all too scary in person⦠but the clouds directly above me, dark and swirling did cause me to pause...

That was an amazing tornado, being such a large, photogenic, relatively long-lasting funnel over sparsely populated terrain and beautiful skies. Magnificent shot.

It was long tracking enough for me to watch it drop from 40 miles away and still make it in time to shoot a few closer shots with a wide angle lens. A fantastic twister! Thanks!

Yeah, the colors are certainly reminiscent of that time of year⦠and tornados so happen in the fall⦠but it was all due to my being on the wrong side of the funnel cloud (thank goodness it was a slow moving one!).

I'm missing it too. I'm jealous of the chasers who got to within 100 yards of this slow moving beast. Lots of vids on youtube⦠check it out!

Thanks! Yeah, having no idea what you're doing can lead to improvising, which can lead to having something unique⦠LOL.
