First of all I have to say that I really love infrared on this one. The contrast between the dark streets/trees and the white leaves/grass is very nice.
The colour combination with white/blue/black is very interesting and adds some wintery feeling to the scene.

Well, I think the vanishing point is working very nice, but the dynamical impression of the scene could be improved with some trees in the foreground that are much "bigger" than the ones behind (adding some differences of size of the trees, supporting the vanishing point.)

I must say I have taken a lot of pictures of alleyways and I used this kind of composition very often. I know prefer to cut the trees and to concentrate on the "inside of the street/alley" (just like zooming in/getting closer to the trees and maybe crop to a square) so that the image is not "open" to all sides. The trees would work like a frame then.
Additionally, the foreground is kind to empty for me, the most interesting part of the image starts with those trees in the middle, I guess e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā€¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Maybe I would also remove the building in the right and the powerline, but well - this is kind of philosophical question, as some people don't want to "manipulate" their images like that. If this is the case, I would just darken the light part of the building e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā€¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Overall, I really like this picture and I think it was worth to write a critique here - I hope you find it helpful!

At first a big thank you for this critique. You took the time to make up your mind about the composition and to write so many thoughts about it. I really appreciate that.
No I'd like to say something about the framing that you mentioned. I know exactly what you mean with that inside composition, but that is something that on the one hand is shot very often and on the other hand I wanted to show the surrounding of the landscape. I understand your argument about the empty foreground. I could also remove the powerlines and houses at the right side(and I am quite open to those small manipulations), but in this case they don't bother me at all.
Thank you again!

I am glad you appreciate my ideas And I also know there is no "right" or "wrong" about the "inside" / "surrounding and that you are aware of these differences
