You take a needle and scrape a plate of copper, then you put ink on the plate and remove surplus. Then you print

ah, old fashioned book printing. Intensive kind of work. I knew it had to do something with scratching.

In kindergarten we did something alike : get some color on a white sheet and than put black inkt on top of it and start scratching figures out of it.
