Description

....

the "Finish Avatar" project week Eighteen, style day. Leave me a suggestion for a picture

....

Uggghhh, this style is nothing like anything I've ever done. The eyes and hair in this series are sooo defined, I'm not used to that ... not to mention that wacky outfit and the eye colors

I played around with colors and style in the background, tell me what you think

...

I'm in the middle of watching this series myself. It's interesting, I enjoy the mystery of it all, how nothing is what it seems. A girl can be a flower, a boy can be a wolf, a detective can be a criminal.

I just finished episode 13, if anyone's wondering (cough... =ZukoIsMyJacob )

If you're thinking about watching the series yourself... do it. It's been really good so far

....

Wolf's Rain belongs to Keiko Nobumoto. Art belongs to me.

Thanks for looking
-Matt

PS. Did you see Ryuki, The Hidden Ninja Strawberry? (If not look here: [link] )

Woo! And Wolf's Rain fan art! I'm so proud of you =3

The WR art style is... ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. It's like nothing I've ever seen. Cheza herself is very pretty. While she's attractive physically, most of her beauty comes from her sheer naive innocence.

What happens in episode 13...? Episode numbers mean nothing to me.

I wasn't sure you'd like this series... it's one of those that some people hate, while others adore.

Yep

That's why i did this picture, I tried to capture that innocent beauty... but it didn't come out quite like that.

Let's see... episode thirteen: Darcia has Cheza, Blue joined the Pack, The Detective found his Wife and the three human are hot on the trail of the wolves, The wolves just decided to forgo paradise and save Cheza.

It's an interesting series. I really like the characters, but sometimes it feels like their characterization is sacrificed for symbolism (especially with Kiba)... but it's not too distracting

Wow! That much has already happened in episode 13?
How are you liking Blue? She's possibly my favorite character.

Yeah. It's a little known fact that Wolf's Rain is an allegory. It takes from a bunch of different religions to create a unified feel... I didn't know that until recently.

Yeah, I just watched a few episodes after that now

They found Cheza at the castle/mansion, but the Nobles came and captured The human couple (I can never remember their names ), Blue and Cheza... and the rest of the pack is kinda in shambles again. Directly after that... there are a few "recap" episodes (Agh... so annoying ) and that's where I'm at now.

I like Blue... but we don't get to know "her" very well. She kinda just jumps into the pack. We know about her past, and why she left... but very little about her character. I guess she's trying to figure herself out as well, since everything she had known growing up is wrong... so it's understandable. I wish the series had more personal interactions between the characters, it would make warming up to them easier. I'm hoping there will be more in the coming episodes , but it's still a really good show.

Oh, yes... there are four random recap episodes right in the middle of the series. You can skip those if you want to. They don't mean a thing at all.

It seems like we get to know Blue better after she's in the pack a little while. Pretty much after she untangles all her mess, we start seeing the results.

Each of them has like one or two things that I feel are important... usually at the end. I don't see why they feel it necessary in a 30 episode series

Oh, really? I had heard that they weren't important, so I skipped them.

Nothing big...

You know the wolf guy at that first city who was selling out his pack to the people... he has a change of heart and helps them (or did I just miss that the first time ). Everything else is just stuff you get to learn about the characters... I think it fleshes them out a bit

TheStoryNeverEnds In reply to Mattierial [2011-05-14 23:44:58 +0000 UTC]

You mean Tsume? The one with gray hair and a scar on his chest?

Oh, well, maybe they realized that the characters were kind of getting forced to go along with the symbolism, so they threw in those four episodes to develop them a bit better.

No... the big wolf guy who was using his pack to move heavy stuff from a train for humans, even the elderly of the pack. It's after they leave the big city... at the first town they go to.

Maybe

I just watched the episodes where Kiba almost dies (or... dies and comes back). I really liked that Myu character... poor girl . The other group that was captured (Blue, Cheza, Hubb and his wife) haven't been in the story much recently. I wish they'd do an "A" and "B" story like in Avatar (Gaang was usually "A," and Zuko "B" until they met up).

Oh, really? He changed sides? I didn't know that.

Ah, yes... I liked Myu, too. Kind of sad, really. How she's trapped and lonely in a fake Paradise. I gotta say, though, they did a good job of making a fake Paradise seem alluring.

That would be nice, you're right... but I'm pretty sure they come back into the show soon.
