Description
More Messiah designs. They are actually some pretty old pencils drawings (a few years), that I now inked and recoloured. Strange to ink over pencils again as I haven't done it is quite some time.

These guys grew out of a dragon man/demon type creture I have been drawign sinc eI was a little kid. Originally it was a combination of the Warrior Dragon from the TMNT Archie comics, and Sauron from X-men. Later I got from Disney's Gargoyles a good name for their race, and someother little details.

Their story:
The Gargoyles are an important part of the Messiah story. They're distantly related to the Saurians(lizard people). For centuries most of the land based races of Aratha(name of this world) have been at war with the avians (Gargoyles, Angels & Fairies). It is only in the last decade or so that any lasting peace has been achieved. However, there is still great mistrust and often hatred of avians by most ground species. They're generally considered bad guys.

While the Angels are technologically advanced, the Gargoyles are still fairly primitive. They're a warrior race and act mainly as the avian's brute force.
