Course not, that's why they outnumbered them 3+ to 1 in Bulldog (usually around 3 regiments to one cluster, which actually outnumbers them by individual mechs around 8 or 9 to 1). But yes I can see this being the more likely outcome had the Smoke Jaguars not been caught flatfooted, victory at a steeper cost.
