So.... is that a rebel in the antagonist's forces or does she keep rebellious soldiers/warriors for later training for the antagonist? The lock on the bottom implies that she works for whoever is down there, not the other way around. If she were a rebel, I think the lock would be on the other side. Keeping a bunch of randos imprisoned and supplied (and drugged) smacks of... I feel like brainwashing? The pattern to the protag's robes already sort of resembles the soldier outfit. So maybe it's to get them to adjust to it so they're more accepting later?
