I really don't understand WHY people hate GT so much - I liked it just as much as Z.
And while SSJ4 for Goku looks kinda dumb (I mean the whole body size change), it still is a cool technique by itself, "canon" or not.
Heck, I would LIKE to see SSJ5 and further, IF it happened.
Now, the "canon" SSJG, on the other hand, IS dumb - just like MSSJ Gohan is a NON-form basically (like, nothing changes outwardly, but he gets a super boost out of his ass).
I can see a tiny (and kinda wrong) reason for people to hate SSJ4 - since it DOESN'T come as a follow-up to SSJ3.
Buuut...
I'm a huge Digimon fan - and if you still didn't immediately get my hint, just two words: WARP Digivolution (Rookie[1] to Mega[4], skipping Champion[2] and Ultimate[3]), lol.

I hated GT for a few reasons; one, most of the shadow dragons were bad jokes. Two; the whole turning Goku into a kid thing was pointless and annoying. Three; Pan turned inton an annoying little shit. Four; the part where Piccollo insisted on staying in the afterlife because he felt like he somehow hadn't redeemed himself after the events of DRAGON BALL. Five; they bring in Uub at the end of DBZ, only to make him completely irrelevant in GT. Six; The goddamn rap opening. Seven; wasted potential. A lot of the ideas in GT were great, but the execution was sloppy, lazy, and often moronic.

But I think they TRIED making some humor out of it, which still failed.
But the idea was good enough, including the whole Fourth Dragon part, if you get my point.
2. Definitely pointless and dumb (his inability to I.T. all of the sudden, was beyond dumb).
Also, even Chibi Goku was stronger than Pilaf ever dreamed of being (cause he got his ass creamed BY Chibi Goku already, lol) - so the whole thing was useless anyways.
Also, Kid Goku vs Ledgic, was a good show of why Pilaf is a true moron, loool.
3. She never had a character enough in Z to "turn" into anything in GT, but I get your point and kinda agree with it.
4. Yes, one of the BIGGEST shits of GT.
I resented this decision a lot.
5. Not entirely true, he did help to fight Baby a bit, lol.
Plus, the whole Uub+Buu=Ubuu thing was also quite good as an idea.
