Nathaniel Richards is a variant of He Who Remains. Eventually, he discovered of the existence of the Multiverse and met his alternate selves. Together they formed the Council of Kangs becoming their leader. Calling himself Immortus, Richards led the Council for many years. After the death of one of Kang the Conqueror, whom was exiled by them to the Quantum Realm, Immortus called a meeting for all the Council's members where they discussed the threat heroes from Earth-616 posed to their dynasty.
