Description One of the most easily avoidable newbie mistakes is raising the character's arm without raising the shoulder. Naturally, this looks awkward as hell. Remember, the shoulder isn't fixed to the torso--the entire joint can move up, down, forward, and back. If that weren't the case, we wouldn't be able to reach behind us.
