Of course, I'm none too fond of Near or Mello. Reason being, they only have one part of L each, while L himself is made up of three parts.
There's the neurotic part, that is later personified as Near.
There's the candy-addict part, seen as Mello.
Then there's the lonely insomniac, who cuts himself off from the world in order to be effective, and in the process ends up choosing not one but TWO homocidal maniacs for his first friends.
That's why L is greater than the sum of two parts of his personality.
Then again, this piccie of yours is still pretty darn groovy...
