Hey guys! How are you doing?This is rather unusual from me. I don't usually do recolors or custom forms, but I really wanted to draw Sonic in darker, ominous color tones. With how popular recolors are, I'm pretty sure this palette has already been done.

P.S.: also, first public drawing made with my new phone I was gifted for Christmas (Note 8). Loving it!

I can't tell if he has his eyes closed or if they are simply filled with some...so disgusting it creates that uncomfortable feeling one sees when they know something is bad news, all kinds of bad.
Still! The shading is both dark and ominous so, it strikes the bells and T's just right!

It's the latter! Also considering this is Modern Sonic and he usually has blue eyelids, those are his open eyes.
Actually, when I made this piece, I was in a very bad mood and wanted to depict something showing that, and my choice fell on Sonic. I first colored the eyes, and that's the reason they're the most diversely colored thing here (I colored the rest the day after). I wanted to deliver that sensation of when you're overwhelmed with bad thoughts/bad news, and your overall negative mood shows through your appearance.

Ah; so he is filled with something...unpleasant. That is true; I forget he normally has blue eyelids, but that is probably due to seeing the varying styles he tends to be done in I guess.
Huh; well I dare say it is mighty effective. Hm, an interesting choice to be sure, considering the current state he is in as it were. Yes, as if they are radiating pure menace, tainted resolve, putrefied into something so very unwholesome. (Cool~) Yeah, you captured that and conveyed it so splendidly, its like a haze of, absolute unrestrained or broiling negativity, it sure hits home far.
Heh on the subject of Forms; plenty of ways to go about that, and recolors I often think are just one of the first stages into building a character into a better fc or a functional oc if one chooses that path.
