Description "Loki, Loki, Loki... watcha reading?"

So I wanted to show a leetle tiny Loki who would sneak off at night and read (on Odin's throne, so I guess there was no feasting going on. Early delusions of grandeur) and Thor would follow him and have no idea what Loki was reading. Cause even if Thor was reading on grade level I picture three year old Loki with adult spell books.

I wanted their clothes to reflect their movie costumes and my observations from SCA events. Thor's is a take off on his armor. I wanted Loki's design to look like a cloud of magic and also work as a pattern. The tiny hammer is for Thor. Really the book represents Loki to me (and that's why we love him, right?)

Expermenting with light/shadow. I'm still too afraid to do enough on their clothes/faces but I think it was a good experiment. I'm both really happy because I used a reference for poses, but everything else was made up, and wish I was better. That's what practice is for I s'pose.

Thank you Sure, it's a great photo for reference, I think it's even better a little blurry since it forces you not to copy/trace.

I didn't notice the hammer at first. That was such a cute idea. Their anatomies & facial expressions turned out fine. This is an original, sweet idea.

Thanks! I through in the hammer at the last minute and I was like it has to be either comically big or comically small and it looked better this way. Thanks for the nice comments

You're very welcome . The fact that it's small makes more sense, since the fanart depicts them as children. In true Norse mythology, however, Loki is not related to Thor. He's Odin's blood brother...I just thought this was shocking information.
