Why is Edd always drawn with long hair when he was younger?

It's apart of Edd's design in the highschool AU!
Basically Edd was just a shy bean when he was younger (at least in this AU he was), so the original creator of the AU drew him with his bangs covering his eyes to kinda signify that.
I really suggest looking into the AU, it's actually pretty great!
