My first impression of this picture was: "What the heck??" LOL What a fun picture... it must have been difficult to capture, but a lot of fun to shoot.
The critical stuff: the first thing i noticed, as you mentioned in your artist notes, is the angle. There's a whole lot of ground showing, which makes it look skewed. This shot would have worked very well I think if you'd maybe crouched down...gotten a shot as if from slightly below. That would enhance the height of his jump and gotten rid of all that empty space (and that drain) below. SOME ground is necessary, I think...just not that much.
Another thing...those backpacks in the background are very distracting. Not sure if it was possible to move them or cover them up, but they break the gray monotony of the background...that monotony is part of what makes this pictures so good.
I love that he's against a dull gray background, he's wearing plain black and white...and then he's wearing that neon red wig...that's fantastic. A great, fun contrast...not to mention seeing that hair on a guy in a suit is a lot of fun.

There is no motion blur at all wich means the camera is very good.Of course the picture is good too thumbs up.
