I take inspiration from stuff I love, in this case Silent Hill and just make it up as I go along. I never have any idea of what I'm going to draw when I put pencil to paper.

No problem! Now just keep practicing and I'd suggest begin studying animal and human anatomy. There's a really great book by Ken Hultgren called "The Art of Animal Drawing"Β I also just discovered this amazing youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/ProkoTV which deals with anatomy and gesture. Even after doing this all these years I'm still learning. Hope these help in further developing your skills
