tells me the importance of stretching by reaching up my leg and pulling with his claws
sleeps on top of me in case Im not warm enough under my sheets and comforter
checks my armpits to make sure my antiperspirant is still working
gives me constant agility checks but moving to just where I want to step while walking
sits beside me on the couch to let me know he approves of my choose of movies or tv programs
he shares his toys with me... putting them underneath my sheets and comfort to play with
he put extra cat fur on all my clothes so than when I go out of the house I can still take him with me
charges out open doors so I remember to go out and play...
specially at night so I can appreciate the moon while looking for him
plays with the dog so I dont have to as much
sleeps on my feet under my desk so they wont get cold
sleeps on my mouse arm so it would get cold
guards my bed so that monsters dont move in while Im wake down stair
makes sure to get into the basement as often as possible to check for possible mouse infestations
moves art supplies off my art working space to remind me I should clean up more often
is one of my best art critics... paws prints in paint means he approves!

When I was away at college he didn't get made at me for my long absences, just purred when I came back home
When I was getting made at my homework he would come and sit on the source of my frustrations and distract me with his furry self
When I was sad he would let me hug him and cry all over him like a baby
When I was sick he would lay down next to my head to I could pet him and talk to someone
When I would try to sleep he would play with my feet
Purred loudly when I played with him with his favorite toy
Would hug my leg when I got him wet food or treats
The last act of love he showed me was letting me hold him when he passed

The past few days my cat loves me because I donated a fake fur line gilet for her to sleep on in the chair next to me as a comfort for all the fireworks that have been banging from outside.
She loves me because I change her litter tray 3 times a week as it is now too cold for her to go out.
She loves me because I have a large fake fur throw on my bed with me inside it and when she gets chilly in the night, she can force me to a tiny space on my large bed and make me too hot.
She does not like human food at all and I don't eat meat... However she loves me because I do buy ham for her and lots of different types of cat food so she can get lots of attention and keep asking me for it when she knows and I know that she is completely full...
All her toys are at the top of the stairs, she loves to chase them down the stairs and hide them goodness knows where. I can't bend down to look under things 'cos I am too old and have a bad back... So I have to find her more things to play with that are small enough to hide and too big for her to swallow.
She loves me more than ever for getting all the fleas to bite me instead of her as human blood kills the little bastards...

Our older cat does that first thing too. The problem is, if no-one is home, he can't tell anyone that he's going to poop. So he has to wait until someone comes home so that he can tell he is going to go to the litter box.

haha thats somehow cute, but I can imagine that it is also very stressing for you and also for your cat. My cat mostly sleeps when we are away, so this problem not really comes up, but how knows when he gets older...

Yeah, luckily our older cat is weird in a many ways. He has extremely strict schedule, he's complaining if we don't come home in a certain time in the evening and wake up in a certain time on the morning. Because of this he have scheduled his litter box times quite well for the evening when peoples should be home already. Usually. x)

oh my, such a strict cat he is, but it still sounds somehow adorable. I so know it can be VERY annoying to be kept awake while you longing to sleep, but somehow these moments and little weird habist surely also why we love them <3

Yeah. He's sensitive elder. He's a shelter cat, we took him when he was a scared little kitten, and he have had some separation anxiety problems and such, but he's very sweet.
Yeah... staying awake when you want to sleep... those cozy weekend mornings when you think you don't have a slightest rush to wake up. And then your cat goes meowing I'M SO HUNGRY ARE YOU NOT WAKING UP TO FEED ME?!

Haha I know it also the was that I am just laying down to sleep and my cats - pretty young ones still - start rush and hunt and fight all over my flat and especially in my bedroom. They prefer to do so when I am already late going sleep and would BADLY need sleep
