Description Fritz here is supposed to be the culmination of my life long love of blobs but he kind of was heavily influenced at this point by Patrick Star and Earl from ToeJam and Earl. At the moment I'm not sure what to do with the character. I'm not sure if he's unique enough. I'm not planning on him being one of the main characters exactly (in my as of now yet to be named cartoon/comic series) but I still don't want to rip anyone off or anything. I might just be being overly-cautious. I'm willing to redesign the character a bit but I don't really have any ideas....

Anyhoo. If you can't tell, he's wearing shades, also known as sunglasses, also that's a cheese necklace FYI. Eh, I guess that's it.

Well, all in all, I like him and how he is in this picture.

Colored with colored pencils, if you can't tell.

Hah, those are exactly the two characters I was thinking of when I first saw this dude.  Though I was thinking more of Earl to be honest.

Pretty nifty dude. :0 And I dig his indifferent smiley face boots, haha.

...So awesome.

Yeahp. =0 Me and my bro were really getting into T&E 2 at the time I think... hmm... that was a while ago. .-.

I'm really thinking about changing Fritz's design to be less similar to Earl and Patrick... but I do like this design... and it's not like you have a whole lot of options when your character's a blob. XD

Yes, I'm quite happy with his shoes. His socks are pretty awesome too but you can't see them in this pic.  And to think, this was before I got into Invader Zim. =o They seems to do that a lot in IZ with the smileys.  Dib even has a smiley indifferent of his shirt.

Well I mean, look at Kirby.  Look at how simplistic his design is, yet he's so iconic.  Anyone could draw a triangle with an upside-down triangle inside it and most might instantly call it the Triforce even if that's not what it was intended to be.  Even Pac-Man in 8-bit mode is just a yellow circle with a slice cut out.   My point is that it's easy to take a simple design/shape and call it your own and make it your own, but no one has copyrights in general on the simplest of shapes and designs.  So I think you're cool with how you are now with this dude, unless of course you truly felt strongly enough yourself to want to change him.

Hah yeah, I remember that now, since you mentioned it. xD That was always an amusing part of the show to me, even if I didn't watch the show itself much.

Yeah, well.  That's basically what I thought! I'm open to his design evolving but I don't especially want to force it. =.

I didn't watch it until years after it ended on NickToons, myself.  Later on Netflix.  I only saw it because I was awake at four in the mourning due to insomnia. lol ._. I also watched a bit of chalk zone and a show about secret agents, at the time.  Yeah... I was eating a lot of macaroni and cheese at the time. =. OH! That's also how I got into Avatar the last Airbender.

Yeah. o______o
