Phénice childhood memories : after her village was burnt and her brother was found dead, Little phénice had nowhere to go. Fortunately,an old woman without family accepted to take care of her. In exchange, Phénice helped at the physical chores the old woman couldn't do anymore. It wasn't a wealthy life, but peaceful, and they learnt to care for each other.

As an aside, there are an awful lot of dead villages around here. You've got one, I've got one, most RPG heroes seem to have one. It's a wonder there are any villages left to burn!
