Ooh, yes! Lina Inverse is one of my favorite anime characters! She's the one who really showed me that girls can be strong, independent heroes too. It's a well-done piece, as well! I love the look of the crackling magical energies!

I really wish that the franchise had lasted. Anime from that era had a special apeal that despite being what made it popular, is vacant from it today.

Maybe it was the goofy adventurous tone , or the character design pretty peculiar to this era (though I saw a Granblue Fantasy version of slayers characters and they are awesome)? I know there was a few ones after the three main series (evolution-r and stuff), didn't see them though so I don't know if they are good. But to be honest, however it's a bit sad, sometimes it's better to be a "dead" good franchise than a known one that degenerated through years... and it's far from uncommon unfortunately.

Lina Inverse la fille à ne jamais énerver comme avec Tild, sinon tu te prend une grosse boule de feux dans ta tronche, Lina Inverse fait partie de mes héroines favorites et stunderer bien construites. Tu as aussi beaucoup aimé la série Maxa? Vu comme Tild ressemble à Lina mais en plus dangereuse.

Je pense que le personnage de Lina était très original pour l'époque.J'ai bien aimé les deux premières saisons surtout pour l'humour, et j'ai été très positivement surpris par la troisième, Slayers Try.

Juste un de mes manga favoris, j'ai suivi toute la série, et j'ai quasiment Toutes les OST et DVD. C'est pour dire à quel point Slayers est génial.

Love it, also one of my all time favorite anime characters, who in no small part was one of my influences for my sorceress characters. Heck my original character sheet for Rhulan actually read (combine Lina Inverse with Naga the White Serpent) LoL.
That said, if you like Slayers then you will like the "two" newer series. Although some fans have nitpicked at it because it doesn't progress the story at all, and it isn't based on any of the Manga, (many fans wanted some of the Manga series to become anime). However is a pretty good series and feels like the classic characters.

Yeah I always forget that there is actually two recent series. The only thing that can bother me is the "flat chest berserk button", because she didn't seem to be bothered that much by it. But Lina really was the type of character who stands out, compared to the usual brain dead shonen hero with burning blood.

One of my favorite anime girls (and partial inspiration for a story character of mine). And I so like the older anime much more than the new (anime in general, not referring to the Slayers series); it's the art style compared to the cartoonish & CGI of the new.

You mean Slayers Evolution and Revolution?
It's good, not my fav seasons, but they definitely improved on visuals and animation.
Even after hundreds of anime series watched, slayers are still my fav of all time.

Well, it's technically one 26 episodes season cut in half... there are some noticeable visual changes after episode 13, but story just goes on, completely relevant to previous 13 episodes.
I suggest you watch, it's completely magical... like giga slave magical!
