Another batch of sketches, pencil + digital colors. This time my characters traded their clothes on several drawings!
The blonde boy is Darenn, self taught engineer.
The dark skinned tomboy is Tild, mercenary mage
The redhead girl is Phénice, Wandering Rider
The guy is Kelwin, dandy fencer.

I love the shot of Tild in Phénice's armour trying to hold the spear. Warrior life is hard, Tild. Best pay some pore points into STR if you plan on wearing armour and using a long weighted weapon

Thanks! Well Tild could try to apply a strenght spell to herself, but as they tend to explode or have unwanted effects... Phénice just lack raw magical power ^^

J'aime beaucoup l'échange de tenue que tu as fait !^^ d'ailleurs j'ai imaginé des dialogues pour Tild et Phénice ^^
Phénice : "La veste est vraiment courte et étroite... Comment elle fait pour supporté ça la petite Tild"
"Alors elle a dit les mains comme ça et après on se concentre...."
Tild : "Punaise, elle est lourde cette armure mais au moins elle couvre bien. le plastron me descend jusqu'au nombril. Au moins elle se protège bien le corps. par contre je comprends pas le pied nue..."
"Arrgggg....; mais pourtant.... rrrrrggggggg je fais comme elle m'a dit et montré pour soulever cette arme.... pffffffffffff elle pèse sacrément lourd !"

Sure, she is (scorching hot) warmth incarnate, in more way than one! ^^U. I think the dark skin don't work that well with the armor and leggings colors, though.

Tild qui peut pas lever la lance de Phénice ^^, Phénice qui fait de la magie (j'ai peur ). Toujours aussi fan de voir Tild, ca faisais longtemps.
Et étrangement Kel est très mignon avec le tablier de Darenn XD
Petite question au passage. Je ne me suis pas tenu au courant, mais où ca en est la possible réédition de Tild ? J'ai convertit un amis mais du coup les scan ne sont plus disponible. Alors j'attant impatiament de pouvoir les acheter. ^^

Disons que Phénice fait deux ou trois étincelles qu'on peut plus où moins considérer comme de la magie ^^U.
Pour Tild j'ai pas encore de date, mais j'ai pratiquement terminé de retoucher les deux premiers tomes, il reste que deux ou trois trucs de maquette à voir, donc c'est en bonne voie !

Well it's sharpness and it's weight aren't exactly mutually beneficial to the cutting power. Sure the weight would help with pushing the blade through whatever it was cutting, but the sharper the blade the less heavy it needs to be. Hell maybe since they have mechanical mounts, they also have the ability to make super sharp macromolecular edges on their weapons, making weight a non issue. Of-course this all without considering if a weapon like that could actually cut through metal at all, but you're making a fantasy comic, no need to be too realistic.

To be perfectly honest I didn't thought about this thoroughly, I just thought drawing a Tild having problem to lift a weapon would be funny ^^. However Phénice's abnormal strenght is one of her main features, so it would make sense that she could wield an extra heavy weapon. SO I guess it's a kind of very dense alloy.

Well it certainly is funny.
As for the dense alloy, without getting too realistic, it would make a lot a of sense that way. The dense alloy would indeed lend extra weight to the weapon. It also allows for a sharper edge. It would also be stronger then the steel that the armor, and the mechanical steeds, are probably made out of, allowing for it possibly cut through... Just something to think about.

Not exactly. The more strength you need to lift object - the less strength you have to actually wield it. So extra heavy weapon for Phenice wont do any good without some weapon bonus itself(like if she used ultragreatsword instead of normal sword which would give her superior reach to other swordsmans). so with normally weighted weapon she would be much more devastating then with heavy one. But then again, its fantasy world ^_^

All costume swaps are awesome. Especially Darenn and Kelvin. Also, Tild, you need to workout more! This glaive should weight about 4kg!
