Fine painting. Not certain I can add much that has not already been mentioned, so will just say you chose the scenery well. A castle generally gets easier to defend the less people know it is there in the first place.

I like thisΒ Β But the top of the castle is illuminated and I can not find the source of the light and this not convince me. Nice atmosphere

Not the artist, but it seems the light comes more or less straight from the upper left. The mountains are darker since with the cloudy sky there is only one unobstructed shaft of light falling straight on the castle, and the castle has flat walls and right angles making the reflection sharper.
At least, so I think.
