Description My entry in the 2013 October Cartographers' Guild.com challenge "Map the same place twice" Digital hand drawn with 18th century style Ireland map and fantasy fictionnal Erin.

I'm so envious, I would like to do some maps for my D&D setting but I can't really manage how to do something so beutiful. The best I can do is what I've loaded on my deviantart but is pretty restictive.

Very nice indeed. Is the "18th century style" Ireland accurate in terms of political divisions and so on of the time or is it just in "style?"

Une question qui me tourmente parce que je suis une indécrottable curieuse:
quels media utilisez-vous ?
Y'a-t-il un dessin préliminaire sur papier ?
Utilisez-vous des textures pour cette effet parcheminé ?
Créez-vous vos propres polices ?
(oui je sais cela fait 4 questions )

C'est sublime en tout cas, je suis complètement fan

Pour les questions: Ces cartes sont dessinées manuellement mais dans Photoshop avec une une tablette graphique. Il n'y a donc pas de dessin préliminaire sur papier J'utilise en effet des combinaisons de textures avec différents niveaux de transparence et travaillées avec des brosses grungy pour créer les fonds "parcheminés". Pour les polices, je me contente d'utiliser des ressources existantes.
