Ba'al appeared in the world once before, his arrival turned the moon red and gruesome giants from long forgotten times followed him, armies rose in defiance but fear drove many to worship Ba'al as their god in hopes that he would spare them, but alas devotion wouldn't save them. the bloodthirsty giants tore apart whole cities in those ancient times, devouring their residence in horrific blood feasts. eventually Ba'al was exiled from the world with the use of powerful magic

there are still hushed rumours about the cult of Ba'al persisting into this day and age, and that those worshippers of the "dark god" seek to bring Ba'al back, so that his legions of bloodthirsty giants may roam the desert sands again. but those few beings old enough to remember the age of Ba'al are aware of the horrors that his return would bring, and hope that Ba'al will never appear again
