Cinnamon Apple Bun was born Cinnamon Belle, she was the result of a teenage pregnancy between Sweetie Belle and Button Mash. Sweetie Belle discovered she was pregnant when she was getting ready for a big singing audition her sister had worked desperately to get for her. She ran out of the building crying, leaving her sister confused and embarrassed and the judges more than rather annoyed. She never went back for an audition, and never achieved the singing career she wanted. Button Mash broke up with her because well... teenage love doesn't tend to last, and a child is a huge responsibility- and he was a teenage boy, he didn't exactly know what he was doing. Sweetie held the loss of her relationship and career against Cinnamon, not quite realising that it wasn't Cinnamon's choice that she was conceived. She grew very emotionally distant, and when Sweetie fell pregnant with Neapolitan, she became even physically neglectful. As a very young filly, Cinnamon didn't understand why her mother just wouldn't pay attention to her- and she tried everything, she even tried becoming a singer like her mother wanted her to, but she just couldn't. She visited aunt Apple Bloom a lot, who took much better care of her, and when Bloom realised she was being neglected she stepped in right away- calling social services and adopting Cinnamon as her own daughter.
Cinnamon now works on the Apple Family's farm and is 100% accepted as a part of the family, renamed to Cinnamon Apple Bun. She calls Apple Bloom and Peach Fuzz her mothers, and doesn't have any interest in contacting Sweetie Belle.
