Mask: Black animal-like mask that covers the lower half of his face, etched with teeth to resemble a snarling animal maw. Raiden's mask has two straps for extra support as he is quite acrobatic and won't miss an opportunity to show that off.

Description: Gaunt, bony frame, clear skin with a thick mattered mess of hair. Narrow light brown eyes, surprisingly attractive

Personality: Raiden is quite outgoing and friendly to most, and much more social than his roommate Jess. He enjoys cracking (horrible) jokes and is very easygoing. He is also surprisingly affectionate to those close to him and has little regard for personal space, although he'll ask before he does anything, just to check if the other is actually ok with the actions first. Despite others seeing him as well-mannered and polite, Raiden is a sassy little bastard and constantly has witty banter with Jess over just about anything the two do together.

Dislikes: People moving too suddenly, people abusing others (physically, sexually, verbally, ect...) and the neighbour across the hall from his apartment

Powers & Abilities: Raiden's right arm become armoured, similarly a shield, the Kagune prodding over the tops of his hand and ending in two hook-like claws which can be used to grip onto things in addition to fighting.

History: Raiden never knew his father, but still inherited their Koukaku Kagune, unlike his mothers bikaku. His mother fitted in well as a human lawyer and Raiden was exceptionally quick at deciding right from wrong, even at a young age. Despite being a somewhat quiet child, he somehow gained human friends, most likely due to his habit of defending those who can't defend themselves.

At the age of 10, his mother was assaulted by a Ukeku Ghoul before being brutally murdered as he got home from school. Having an advantage in terms of surprise, rage and his Koukake, Raiden slaughtered and the attacker as revenge.

Although being old enough to hunt, Raiden's mother had never let him in case he was caught, but when she died he decided it was either hunt or starve. Picking the smarter option, he took to observing the way other ghouls hunted and, occasionally, was given a small amount of meat if the ghoul he was watching felt like sharing a meal.

Now 19 and having inherited a wealthy some of money from his mothers' life savings, Raiden lives in an apartment with many different species of reptile and his best friend/roommate Jess as company, with the occasional visits from their human friend Bec who isn't aware the two are Ghouls.

Notes:

- Studying part-time as a lawyer, Raiden often copies and takes files from wanted criminals and cases off the database home to read up on, more often than not using them to find his next meal. He amusingly refers to these as 'menus' and those with records of sexual assault and domestic violence are often at the top of the list for people to hunt

- Due to keeping much of the apartment at a rather high temperature for his reptiles, neither Raiden nor Jess wear much clothing, most of the time donning only undergarments unless they are expecting company. This has become normal practice between the two who are both more than fine with it.

- Due to Raiden not eating human toes because of the many small bones, he will tear them off and feed them to his omnivorous reptiles when he gets home.

- His favourite parts to eat are thighs and ribs, as he enjoys picking the meat from between the ribs

- After killing his prey, Raiden will drag it to a higher place to eat it, such as trees and roofs. This habit, combined with his mask and the claw-like marks on the bodies earned him the alias of Beast

- Raiden is more than fine with sharing a meal with another ghoul, being used to sharing almost every meal with Jess, as long as the other ghoul asks rather than tried to take the corpse from him.

- Despite being level-headed, he can get carried away when hunting, often toying with his meals before killing them.

- Raiden has never been caught by Doves, although he is known by them and classed as a low-level threat, as the act of him and Jess hunting a group of young males outside a nightclub was captured on film. As much of this group had criminal charges and Raiden does not kill more than once a week, CCG does not see Raiden as to be as dangerous as some other Ghouls, although are still searching for him.

- Raiden has an ugly, whooping laugh that according to Jess sounds like "a hyena being strangled." Jess often teases him about this, but he merely replies with "well I have to be imperfect somehow."
