cute like many other people in the comments cass is my favorite companion in the game i also thought of a fan fiction that is not weird and inappropriate to young ones i should say i saw this on pinterest i instantly thought of it
START: it has been a year since Cass and the Courier was married Boone and the Couier is being shiped to the midwest to fight against a bigger threat then the legion the cowboys the fighting has gone on for two years it became the deadliest conflict in NCR history with a quarter of NCR troops, rangers and vet rangers losing there lives in the conflict and Cass and the Courier had just had a child acouple months ago Cass asked Veronica for help once Cass' husband the Courier left and Veronica agreed also Boone and the Courier soon after the event of the game became best friends and when this takes place it is the day Boone and the Courier shipment
Cass:just come home safe for me *crying* and your son
Courier: i will Cass i will i always do *sobs a little*
Boone:Β come on man we don't have all day
Courier: goodbye Cass *kisses Cass and gets in a working army truck
Trooper:DAMN a real Veteran Ranger nice

There would really be no good way to explain how an NCR Ranger made it all the way out this far and why. Maybe they'll concoct something in a future dlc (probably not Far Harbor, because them getting to Maine but not Massachusetts would just be silly).
