I believe this is Kodaiji Temple in Kyoto beside Yasaka Shrine. I remember it very well when i studied abroad in Japan.

Thanks, I make sure to remember as much as possible when traveling. Its essential to visit Kyoto while in Japan.

I agree with visiting Kyoto. More so than Tokyo in my opinion.

True, there is just something really special about Kyoto that no other place has. Also I kinda felt that Tokyo was just a "Asian NY" haha

Thanks, I wish I could have gotten a different angle to show how big the dragons are. The only reference are the little ladies way in the back working on the garden.

yeh It was pretty darn awesome! I loved the "normal" zen gardens but this one was over the top! Kyoto is probably the most photogenic city in Japan in my opinion. I love Tokyo but Kyoto is Japan the way it was meant to be seen.

Sure, it's in Kyoto. There are many zen gardens there but I found this one to be the one I liked the best.

It's definitely my new favorite historical city. Tokyo is just plain fun but Kyoto is historically wonderful. The colors and textures of the city alone are a photographers dream. I can see why there's a lot of foreigners that visit Kyoto and the area.

Kyoto is a must for anyone's bucket list!
